Assam Agricultural University(AAU) invites application from qualified candidates for filling up the vacant post of Vice-Chancellor on a contractual basis for a period of 05 years.

Age Limit: 65 years.
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in any branch of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Education, Research and Development.
Work Experience: Minimum 10 years of service in the rank of Professor or its equivalent.

1. Those who applied earlier in response to the Advertisement No. 1/2019 issued vide Memo No. dtd 13.06.2019 need not apply again. Applications in the prescribed format duly signed by the candidate with ail the enclosures should be sent to The Addl. Secretary to The Hon’ble Governor of Assam, Governor’s Secretariat, Raj Bhavan, Kharghuli, Guwahati – 781001 in sealed envelopes.
2. In service candidates may apply but shall submit the herd copy of the application through proper channel. Soft copy in addition should invariably be submitted to the email ids: govsecassam@gmail.com and rajbhavan-assam@gov.in. Both the Hard Copy & Soft Copy shall be submitted latest by 5:00 pm on the last date i.e. 24th of April, 2020.
3. The application forms may be downloaded from the website of Assam Agricultural University(vwu.aau.ac.in). The sealed envelope containing the hard copy of the application should clearly indicate prominently: “Application for the post of Vice Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam”
