Assam Agriculture University has published a notice regarding recruitment for DBT funded project “Mainstreaming rice landraces diversity in varietal development through genomic prediction: A model for large-scale utilization of gene bank collections of rice” invites applications for filling up a post ofJunior Research Fellow (JRF)

Qualification and Experience : Master Degree in Life Science or Agriculture/Biotechnology (Preference will be given to Plant Breeding and Genetics/ Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology) from a recognized university or equivalent

Job Description : This position, under this project, win be responsible for screening rice germplasm, conducting field related experiments. Will be involved and monitor preparation of seed nursery, transplanting, field maintenance, harvesting, and seed processing of molecular breeding samples. Generation advancement of developed lines, phenotypic evaluation and multi-location testing at RARS, Titabor, Jorhat and report preparation

Salary : Rs31,000/- + 8% HRA
